After feeling much disdain with the entertainment industry and humanity's reception to it for a number of reasons (1. the Twilight film being made and being a success, 2. the cancellation of Pushing Daisies) I'm oh so glad to see that both the SAG awards and the Golden Globes have nominated my favorite actress, Kate Winslet for both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress.
It should also be noted that she's been nominated many times for the Oscars, Golden Globes and SAGs and never won. (Update: I just looked it up and she's been nominated for 5 Oscars, 6 Golden Globes, and 5 SAG awards, winning only a SAG for Sense and Sensibility). I hope she wins it all this year, she is a truly amazing actress.
I'm also trying to ignore the fact that the SAG awards completely snubbed Lost and Pushing Daisies, but lavished nominations upon such tripe as Entourage and Desperate Housewives. Bleh.
